We first proposed the concept of the Greenway through the 2009 Strategic Regeneration Framework, and we are now delighted to be leading its development for the purposes of an Economic Appraisal, on behalf of Greater Shankill Partnership and the Strategic Investment Board.

A two day Community Convention led by a five strong team from the Practice was a key milestone in this process, enabling local people to directly participate in shaping the project. The Convention’s centrepiece was a gigantic 15m x 15m draft plan of the greenway.

This exciting project involves the establishment of new connections between Belfast City Centre and its magnificent hills, forming the backbone for regeneration of the Greater Shankill area.
