Bank Street Basin Interpretative Artwork

As part of a wider public realm scheme for Bank Street Basin, the interpretative artworks distributed throughout the site are intended for local people rather than a ‘heritage ‘audience.

In an environment designed for walking through rather than lingering, the pieces are accompanied by short, bold, ‘soundbytes’, with the text usually forming part of the installation.

A careful use of materials was also employed as a means of interpreting the town’s industrial past.
