Street Furniture, Custom House Square

A key component of the Custom House Square project was our bespoke street furniture.

The Civic Trust commended our attention to detail and the way that these elements give the area a sense of local distinctiveness.

Seats and benches combine stone, steel and timber, and a suite of light columns with copper clad bases and finials were specifically designed for the area.

The landmark structural columns, which lean over the square, illuminating it and marking its entrances, fulfil a specific role, defining the edge of the space, where the existing built form was weak.
