Working closely with the council we developed streetscape proposals for Polton Street precinct and the main streets that intersect within the town centre.

A simple public space was created at the heart of the town, with an avenue of trees and raised beds creating a buffer between a generous footpath and road. Used on a daily basis for more passive recreation, it has the potential to accommodate street markets. High quality granite paving has been used extensively, significantly improving the character and quality of the streets. A suite of robust furniture and raised flowerbeds provides plenty of opportunity for seating, with high quality white light from modern fittings ensuring that the streets remain safe and well presented at night.
