We prepared the masterplan and landscape design for the redevelopment of this resort hotel near St. Andrews in Scotland. As part of the planning submission, we also undertook a landscape and visual impact assessment of the proposed development. The project involves significant redevelopment of a large historic farm steading, 37 new holiday lodges and the redesign of the overall resort entrance. The landscape masterplan provides a high quality woodland and parkland setting for the development while retaining outstanding views to the sea. The landscape design will also provide a significant buffer to a neighbouring listed building. Planning consent was granted following a public local inquiry at which we provided expert witness on the landscape and visual impact issues.
