Interpretation and Orientation Signage, Edinburgh Parks
Commissioned by Edinburgh City Council, this project generated a series of interpretative signs for four of Edinburgh’s ‘Premier’ parks.
Each board featured just one carefully chosen image that was subsequently given the ‘Andy Warhol’ treatment and used as a vivid backdrop for five or six stories about the history of the park and its surrounds. Each board also features a simple map allowing visitors to navigate the park and the bespoke ‘tuning fork’ steel support was manufactured by a local artist/blacksmith.
