Armagh is one of the oldest cities in Ireland, steeped in history dating back to the days of Saint Patrick and the ancient kings of Ulster. Beneath two striking hilltop cathedrals lies a network of attractive streets and spaces. However, Armagh is no different to other rural settlements in the challenges it faces. Retaining key employers, attracting new investment and reconciling heavy traffic all present problems.

With a multi-disciplinary team, we have set about addressing these issues by identifying new opportunities for investment, retail and tourism through a masterplan for Armagh city centre. Proposals range from focussed conservation led enhancements to a comprehensive road realignment scheme, which together will unlock the potential of this fine historic city.
