Ballycastle Development Plan
Ballycastle is a delightful seaside town with a population of approximately 5,500, located about 47 miles north of Belfast. It borders the causeway coast and Glens of Antrim areas of outstanding natural beauty and hosts a ferry service to Rathlin Island. The fine natural landscape is complemented by the town’s historic urban form.
The development plan, prepared for the town partnership, offers integrated initiatives to better connect the seafront with the shops and other town functions, to meet the needs of local people and visitors. Large-scale proposals including new hotels and leisure facilities were presented alongside more modest ones, such as innovative gateway signage, for which we were subsequently appointed as designers.
