Barrhead is eight miles to the south-west of Glasgow and has a population of approximately 20,000. The recent decline of its traditional industries has had a detrimental impact on the physical, economic and social environment of the town.

With a multi disciplinary team, and through consultation with the council and key stakeholders, we produced a regeneration framework for barrhead that brings a new a focus to the town centre and establishes a stronger sense of place.

The framework identifies specific development projects, areas of focus and improvement, and new opportunities for retail, education, employment, leisure and healthcare. Work is ongoing in the delivery of initiatives contained within the action plan.
